Cary Giacalone
Cary J. Giacalone is thrilled to have joined Galleria International Realty of Fort Lauderdale, a prestigious company with an impeccable reputation, as a Realtor Associate after a distinguished career in Banking with The Bank of New York and JPMorgan Chase, as well as in Real Estate with Grayrider Realty in New York and Century 21 in Pennsylvania, where he was designated a CENTURY 21 Fine Homes & Estates® Associate Realtor.
Cary’s 40+ year banking career was varied; it included public relations, sales management of over 250 branches, overall management of 50+ branches, and sales/management/customer service training. This, plus his prior experience in real estate, makes him uniquely qualified to exceed all your expectations when it comes to your real estate needs. He believes that “integrity” is key in dealing with all people, as it results in a trust that is unparalleled by many others.
Cary believes that one cannot be successful in their life goals if they are not willing to contribute to the needs of a community. These are not just words for him, but a way of life. Some of his past endeavors include being an original volunteer in one of the first HIV volunteer programs (Long Island AIDS Project), working both the hotline and as a buddy to those living with HIV/AIDS. He also ran a support group called Circles both in New York and Long Island and volunteered as a peer counselor at Identity House in New York. He was also on the marketing committee for United Way of Long Island and chaired other successful philanthropic events during his tenure at the Bank. In Pennsylvania, he was the Executive Director and President of the Board of TriVersity, a Gender & Sexual Diversity Center. He facilitated many groups, including many for the youth of the community and for adults facing challenges in living their truth. He received an award for Outstanding Volunteer of the Year in Northeastern Pennsylvania.
Since moving to Fort Lauderdale, he has volunteered at United Church of Christ feeding the homeless and gathering needed clothing and hygiene items for them; at Broward House in connection with their Dining Out for Life program; and as a member of the South Florida Men’s Chorus, as well as run and volunteered for various outreach events.
