MIAMI — As boating increases in popularity, a growing number of buyers are seeking private marinas at their luxury homes for convenience and safety.
Private marinas provide flexibility for homeowners for unplanned outings and add to the high-end experience luxury owners are seeking. Developers are including more custom-built private docks and marinas into their residential projects to meet demand. Homes in areas that include Miami, Fort Lauderdale, and Palm Beach pitch private dock and marina amenities during the listing process.
Boat lifts and lighting systems require certain knowledge and tools for maintenance and repairs, but there are businesses to address those needs. South Florida has a vast system of rivers, as well as mild temperatures, making it an ideal location for a private marina.
